Our Mission and History

Woodland Performing Arts was founded on the idea that anyone should be able to participate in the arts. Our mission is provide free educational programs to anyone who is interested. Along with providing free educational programs, we strive to be involved in the community. From donations to local homeless shelters to other startup organizations, Woodland Performing Arts wants to see everyone achieve their goals and succeed.

Woodland Performing Arts has a rich history in the Des Moines Metro. Most notably, the organization was formed solely by a group of local high school students in May 2021. To date, we have held 3 successful productions raising money for both our organization while also supporting others like Central Iowa Shelter and Services. 

We hope to open more opportunities in the coming years along with expanding our outreach to more groups.
